6. DCF signal
You can enable (auto) or disable (o) this funcon as the last item in the basic
sengs.
The DCF signal is a me signal which is sent out by one of the most accurate clocks
in the world. It is located near Frankfurt am Main. Under ideal condions, your
weather staon can receive the signal from a distance of up to 1500 km.
If the weather staon has detected the signal, then it displays the current Central Eu-
ropean Time, the date, and the day of the week depending on the basic sengs. The
DCF symbol " " is then shown on the display.
The weather staon scans for a signal and aempts to synchronise every day at
02:00 and 17:00 hrs.
You can start the signal scan automacally by pressing the "RCC" buon in the
baery compartment of the outdoor sensor.
Once the aempt to receive a signal fails, the weather staon stops scanning aer
about 5 minutes. The DCF symbol disappears from the display.
Cauon! Remember that some devices may be sources of interference for receiving
the signal, such as televisions, computers, etc. You may have problems in receiving
the signal in closed areas such as in airports, factories, cellars, etc.
7. Basic sengs
Note: When the backlight is switched o ("backlight" switch in O posion), the
backlight can be turned on for approximately 5 seconds by pressing the large
"SNOOZE / LIGHT" buon on the top of the housing.
Press and hold the "TIME SET" buon for about 5 seconds to modify the basic
sengs. Using the "CH/+" and "MEM/
_
" buons, you can change the values
accordingly.
By briey pressing the "TIME SET" buon, you can conrm the entry and proceed
to the next opon. In this way, you can change and customise the following
sengs in the sequence menoned below:
