The MV200Z Console is a central control unit for a wireless alarm system, designed to monitor and manage various devices such as repeaters and push-button stations. It provides visual and auditory indications of system status, including alarms, low battery warnings, and device faults.
Function Description:
The MV200Z Console serves as the primary interface for the alarm system. It receives supervisory signals from connected devices hourly, ensuring their proper functioning. If a device fails to check in within a programmed fault window (default 18 hours), the console displays a "Device Fault" alarm.
When a device triggers an alarm, the console's "Alarm" LED illuminates, and the LCD screen displays information such as the device index, room number, and locator ID (if programmed). The console can be configured for different alarm types:
- Latching: The alarm remains active until the alarming device is physically reset.
- Persistent: The alarm remains active until it is cleared from the console. This is the default setting for MassageLuXe systems.
- Momentary: The alarm remains active for a specified "Momentary Time" (in seconds) before automatically clearing.
The console also indicates low battery conditions for individual devices. When a device's battery is low, the "Low Bat" LED illuminates, and the LCD displays "Low Battery" for the specific room. This signals that the battery should be replaced within one week to ensure continued normal operation.
The "Increment" button allows users to quickly view all currently programmed rooms. For active rooms, the "Active" LED illuminates. Pressing "Increment" cycles through the active room list. Once all active rooms have been viewed, the "Inactive" LED illuminates. The LCD screen reverts to the home screen after 10 seconds of inactivity.
For persistent alarms, the "Increment" button must be pressed to display "Call-Clear" on the LCD. Subsequently, pressing the "Clear" button will clear the alarm from the console.

- Programming:
- The console can be preprogrammed, in which case devices are installed according to a programming spreadsheet.
- If not preprogrammed, software installation is required. This involves installing a USB-to-Serial driver and the MV200Z Programming Unit 1.6 software from a disc onto a computer.
- The USB-to-Serial cable connects the console's serial port to a computer's USB port for programming.
- Alarm Management:
- Alarms are indicated by the "Alarm" LED and detailed information on the LCD.
- Clearing persistent alarms requires pressing "Increment" followed by "Clear."
- Device Monitoring:
- The console displays "Low Battery" warnings for devices needing battery replacement.
- "Device Fault" alarms indicate issues with device communication or functionality.
Maintenance Features:
- Battery Replacement: Low battery warnings on the console indicate the need to replace batteries in specific devices within one week.
- Troubleshooting Device Faults: Common causes for device faults include:
- Dead battery: Replace the battery.
- Device left the facility: Return the device or replace it with a new one, ensuring the correct ID is programmed.
- Incorrect ID programmed: Verify the physical device ID matches the programmed ID.
- Antenna disconnected: Attach the antenna to the back of the MV200Z console.
- Damaged device: Replace the device and program the correct ID.
- Technical Support: If troubleshooting steps do not resolve a device fault, contact Systems Technologies Technical Support.
Repeaters (VL135LP-B7):
- Function: Repeaters extend the wireless coverage area of the system.
- Specifications:
- Maximum 75 ft.-radius coverage area.
- Need to be spaced no more than 150 ft. from other repeating/receiving units.
- Installation:
- Attach a small black antenna to the top of the repeater.
- Plug the orange plastic terminal block into the bottom.
- For battery backup models (VL135LPB-B7), ensure a small jumper is next to the input power wires.
- Attach power wires to the TP1220 transformer (wire order does not matter).
- Plug into a wall outlet. The red power LED will illuminate.
- The repeater initializes by temporarily illuminating all three red LEDs on the bottom panel.
- Repeaters are preconfigured and installed according to floor plans.
- Function: Wireless devices that trigger alarms when activated.
- Installation:
- Remove from packaging.
- Remove the blue battery tab to power up the station.
