The Beko vacuum cleaner is designed for household use to clean dust and debris from various surfaces. It operates by creating suction to draw in dirt, which is then collected in a dust container. The appliance features a motor protection filter and a HEPA filter system to ensure efficient filtration of dust particles before the air is expelled. It is equipped with a parquet/carpet brush that can be adjusted for different floor types, and a telescopic tube for extended reach. The vacuum cleaner also includes a power cable winding mechanism for convenient storage.
The vacuum cleaner is straightforward to operate. To begin, the hose needs to be attached by pushing the hose cap into the housing until it clicks, ensuring the projecting parts on the hose cap are aligned. The hose can be removed by pressing the unlocking buttons on the sides of the hose cap and pulling it. The telescopic tube attaches to the handle and can be extended or shortened by sliding its adjustment latch. This tube then connects to the parquet/carpet brush.
The parquet/carpet brush is versatile, featuring an adjustment latch to adapt to different cleaning needs. For firm ground and parquet, the brush should be extended before vacuuming. When cleaning carpets and rugs, the brush should be retracted.
To operate the vacuum cleaner, the power plug must be pulled from the back of the appliance and plugged into a mains socket. A crucial safety note advises against pulling the cable beyond the yellow mark, and absolutely not beyond the red mark, to prevent damage. Once plugged in, the appliance is switched on by pressing the on/off button.
The vacuum cleaner offers convenient parking features. For vertical parking, the hook of the parquet/carpet brush can be attached to a groove at the bottom of the appliance. For horizontal parking, the brush hook attaches to a groove at the rear side. After use, the appliance is switched off with the on/off button, unplugged, and the cable is wound back into the appliance by pressing the cable winding button.
The vacuum cleaner comes with several accessories designed for specific cleaning tasks. An upholstery tool is provided for cleaning floorings, stair steps, car interiors, sofas, and armchairs. A dust brush is included for cleaning curtains and other sensitive or fragile objects. Additionally, a crevice tool is available for reaching and cleaning surfaces that are difficult to access, such as areas under sofas and furniture. It is important to ensure the crevice tool remains outside during use and to avoid using the handle's end part for cleaning.
Regular maintenance is crucial for the vacuum cleaner's performance and longevity. Before any cleaning or maintenance, the appliance must be switched off and unplugged. It is strictly advised not to use gasoline, solvent, abrasive cleaning agents, metal objects, or hard brushes for cleaning the appliance. Also, the appliance or its cable should never be dipped in water.
The dust container needs regular emptying. This is done by pressing the dust container removal button, lifting the container by its handle, and then opening its lid by pressing the inner latch to empty the contents. After emptying, the lid should be closed until a click is heard, and the container reinserted into its place.
The vacuum cleaner's filtration system requires attention. It includes a motor protection filter and a HEPA filter, both located at the rear of the dust container. To access them, the dust container is removed. Both filters can then be taken out. The sponge protection filter should be washed under running water, wrung out lightly, and left to dry for at least 24 hours. The HEPA inlet filter should be shaken to remove dust, then washed under cool running water from its clean side. If washed, the HEPA filter also needs to dry at room temperature for a minimum of 24 hours. It is critical that filters are completely dry before reinstallation to prevent moisture smell, water leakage, or damage to the filters. Appliances producing hot air, such as hair dryers or heaters, should not be used to dry the filters. The filters must always be attached back into their places once dry.
There is also a HEPA outlet filter located at the rear side of the appliance. This filter is removed by pulling it from its handle. Similar to the other filters, it should be shaken to remove dust, then washed under running cool water from its clean side. If washed, it requires a minimum of 24 hours to dry at room temperature. After washing, the outlet filter should be wrung out slightly and left to dry. It is important not to use the appliance without filters, as this can cause damage.
