Standby Mode
Afterboiling,itentersintoStandbymode.the
presettemperatureremainsatthedefaultsetting
andtherelatedprogramlightashesonthe
displayunlessyoupressthePROGbuttonto
changeit,unplugthepowerplugorturnthe
applianceoff.
OFF Mode
PresstheON/OFFbuttonforapproximately3
seconds,theappliancewillturnoff,thedisplay
willbeblank.
ToturnitonpresstheON/OFFbuttonfor
approximately3seconds.
Keep Warm Mode
InKeepWarmmode,thepowerindicatorand
programlightstayson.
Note: This unit has a boil/dry protection
safety feature that automatically turns
kettle off when water has boiled or if
there is no water in the kettle.
Warning:
• Donotoperatekettlewithoutwater.
• Donotoperatekettlewithoutremovablelter
inplace.
• Donotoverllkettleandkeepwaterlevel
belowthemaximummarkontheWater
gauge.
• Donotopenlidwhilewaterisheating.
CareandCleaning
Beforecleaning,turnoffthepoweroutletand
unplugthepowercordfromthemainssupply.
AllowtheKettletocoolbeforecleaningit.
Wipetheexteriorofthekettlewithasoftdamp
clothorsponge.
Removestubbornspotsusingaclothmoistened
withmilddetergent.Donotusesteelwoolor
abrasivecleaners.Donotputdetergentsor
cleaningagentsinthekettle.
Buffthepolishedstainlesssteelwithacleansoft
cloth.
Donotleavethekettleindirectsunlightasitmay
affectthequalityofthenish.
RemovingCalcium
Deposits
Inordertomaintaintheperformanceofyour
kettle,itisimportanttoremovebuilt-updeposits
insidethekettle.Todescaleyourkettleyoucan
useadescalentavailablefrommostleading
retailoutlets,orthefollowingprocess:
1. Halfllthekettlewithordinarytapwater.
2. Add30ml(1oz)ofwhitevinegartothekettle.
3. Boilthemixtureandleavestandingfor30
secondsrepeatthissteptwice.
4. Emptythemixtureandrinsethekettlewell.
Note: For extreme build-up, this
procedure may need to be repeated.
Thescalelterwillalsoneedtobecleaned
occasionallytoremovecalciumdeposits.To
removethescalelter,openthelidofthekettle
andpressthetopofthescaleltertoremoveit.
Thescaleltercanbecleanedbyusingasoft
bristledbrushandrunningwaterorbysoaking
itinvinegar.Ensurethescalelterisrinsed
thoroughlyincleanwaterbeforereturningitto
thekettle.
Replacethescalelterbyplacingitslowerclip
intotheholeontheinnerbottomofthespout,
pushingitrmlybackintoitslockingposition.
