SERVICING
For the usual engine servicing (oil, filter, spark plug and adjustments) read the engine manual
deliveredwiththemachine.
• Itisnecessarytocheckperiodicallytheoillevelinthegearboxbyatleastevery50workinghours.If
necessaryaddMPSSAE80/90oil.
• Theoilhas
tobe changedevery200workinghours.Unscrewthecap(Ref.“B”Pict.10),drainoutall
the oilletting the cap(Ref.“A” Pict.10)open. Thenput backthe cap (Ref. “B” Pict.19) andtop up
withoil(about1,3litres).
• Theframehaswaterproof ballbearings. Thetransmission in
the frameis engagedby twonormal
grease‐lubricatedchains.
• Allthejoints,thecablesandthetightenersupportboltshouldbeoiledfromtimetotime.
• Keepthemachineandthebladesclean.Checkperiodically,atleastonceayear,thatallthescrews
and nuts are
well tied, especially the screws of the tiller (always wear protection gloves while
workingonthetiller).
• Incaseofbreakingorwearofthebelt,youcanreplaceitaftertakingoffthe sideprotectioncover
byunscrewing2knobsfixingthesideprotectioncover(Pict.11Ref.“A”).
• Takeoffthebeltfromthe pulleysandinstallthenewbelt.Afterreplacingthebelt,adjustittothe
correcttensionfollowingtheinstructionsinthechapter“CLUTCHBELT”,thenreassemble
thecoveragain.
Foranytechnicalrepairespeciallyduringtheguaranteeperiod,itissuggestedtoapply
tothe
specialisedworkshopsofourdealers.
CLUTCHBELT
Clutchbeltadjustment (seepicture12)
Removethecoverbyunscrewingbothfasteningscrews,asecondoperatorwillpulltheclutchlever(A).Verifythatthebelt(C)hasgot
amaxdistanceof2,7cmandifitdoesn’thappenproceedasfollows:
a. adjustthebelttensionbyregulatingtheclutchlever(A)throughtheadjusting screw(B)onthelefthandlebar;
b. ifthebeltdistance(C)isstilloutofthementionedtolerance,loosenthefourbolts(D)clampingtheengineandshifttheengine(E)
forwardstillyougettherightvalues.
Clutchbeltreplacement(seepicture12)
a. loosentheadjustingscrew(B)onthelefthandlebarandextractthebeltfromthepulleys.
b. Installthenewbeltonthepulleysverifyingthatthe max.distanceisabout2,7cmandthattheclutchleverdoesn’thaveanyclea‐
ranceotherwisecarryout
theadjustmentdescribedbefore.
