Fuel lever "ON" position
10. Move the choke lever to "On" (Right) position. To start a cold engine, move the choke
lever to "OFF" position.
11. Move the fuel valve lever to "ON" position (Lever in right position).
NOTE: For a warm engine, be sure the CHOKE lever is in the "ON" position.
12. Move the throttle lever away from the MIN. position (symbol tortoise), about

the way toward the MAX. position (symbol rabbit).
13. When starting engine, position yourself as recommended below and grasp starter
grip handle and pull slowly until you feel some resistance. Then pull rapidly to start
engine.
14. Return the starter grip handle slowly. Do Not let rope "snap back" against starter.
Pull recoil starter by
the other hand.
