• Exercise extreme caution when changing direction on slopes.
Do not till excessively steep slopes.
Use extreme caution when reversing or pulling the garden tiller towards you.
• Start the garden tiller or switch on the garden tiller carefully according to
instructions and with feet well away from the tines.
• Do not put your hands or feet near or under rotating parts.
• Never pick up or carry a garden tiller while the motor is running.
• Never operate the garden tiller with defective guards, or without safety
devices. Stop the machine and remove battery. Make sure that all moving parts
have come to a complete stop:
- Whenever you leave the garden tiller.
- Before clearing blockages or unclogging chute.
- Before checking, cleaning or working on the garden tiller.
- After striking a foreign object. lnspect the machine for damage and make repairs
before restarting and operating the garden tiller If the garden tiller starts to vibrate
abnormally (check immediately).
- Inspect for damage.
- Replace or repair any damaged parts.
- Check for and tighten any loose parts.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the garden tiller is in safe working
condition.
Be careful during adjustment of the garden tiller to prevent entrapment of fingers
between moving tines and fixed parts of the garden tiller.
Allow the garden tiller to cool before storing in any enclosure.
When servicing the tines be aware that, even though the power source is switched
o, the tines can still be moved.
Replace worn or damaged parts for safety. Use only genuine replacement parts
and accessories.
Wear strong work gloves when removing and reassembling the tines.
Do not store batteries in a garage or shed over the winter as it will damage battery
life.

WARNING: Only use the diagnostic charger supplied with this kit to
charge the 20V Li-ion battery. Charging any other batteries may damage
the charger and possibly cause serious injury.
Do not store or carry the battery in a manner in which metal objects could
contact the exposed metal end. Do not place the battery in aprons, pockets,
drawers, etc. with loose nails, screws, keys etc. The battery could short circuit
causing a fire, personal injury or damage to the battery.
