DESCRIPCION
La válvula moduladora R-7
™
se usa conjuntamente con un
sistema de frenos de aire dual y los actuadores del freno de
resorte para llevar a cabo las siguientes cuatro funciones:
1. Limita la retención de aire a los actuadores del freno de
resorte (ajustable).
2. Suministra una rápida liberación de la presión de aire de
la cavidad del resorte del actuador del freno de resorte,
permitiendo una aplicación rápida de los actuadores del
freno de resorte.
3. Regula la aplicación del actuador del freno de resorte si
ocurre una falla en el sistema del freno de servicio.
4. Previene la combinación de las fuerzas de servicio y de
resorte.
La válvula tiene un puerto de control de 1/4", uno de suministro
de 3/8", uno de balance de 1/4", dos de entrega NPTF de 3/8" y
un puerto de escape protejido por un diafragma de escape. La
válvula tiene dos orificios de 13/32" para el montaje.
Nota, solamente para los camiones internacionales del año
2001 y posteriores: Hay una válvula invertida R-7
™
, la cual
aparece invertida en otra foto en este documento. Una válvula
estándar R-7
™
y una válvula invertida R-7
™
no se pueden

FUNCIONAMIENTO - CARGANDO LOS ACTUADORES
DEL FRENO DE RESORTE (FIGURA 3)
La presión del aire usada para controlar los actuadores del
freno de resorte entran a la válvula a través del puerto de
suministro, pasando a través de un lado de la válvula de
retención doble, la válvula de admisión abierta, por encima del
pistón de balance y sale por los puertos de entraga a los
actuadores del freno de resorte. Cuando la presión del aire en
la cavidad del actuador del freno de resorte ha soltado los
actuadores de los frenos de resorte y cuando la presión del
aire en la parte superior del pistón de balance es suficiente
para superar la fuerza del pistón de balance, el pistón de
balance se mueve permitiendo que el resorte de la válvula de
