OPERATION
Getting started
Switch on the meter by pressing the ON/OFF button.
Low battery indication
A constant battery icon ( ) in the upper left corner of the display notifies you that the battery are
low and should be replaced.
Warning!
To avoid false readings, which could lead to possible electric shock or personal injury, replace the battery
as soon as the battery icon ( ) appears.
Auto-polarity
If the measured object is not connected to the multimeter with the correct polarity, the reading will be
displayed with a minus (-) sign
Over-range indication
If the measuring value of the test object is over the maximum value of the selected measuring range, only
“1” will be shown on the left of the display, a greater measuring range must be selected. If the measuring
value of the test object is below the minimum value of the selected measuring range, only “0” value will
be shown on the display, a lower measuring range must be selected.
Data hold (optional feature, refer your multimeter)
Press HOLD button to freeze the display. Press HOLD button again to release the display.
Automatic power-off (optional feature, refer your multimeter)
The display blanks and the Multimeter switch itself off if you have not changed the rotary switch position
or pressed a button for about 5 minutes. Press the ON/OFF button and the multimeter will power on
again.
MAKING MEASUREMENTS
Measuring voltages
Warning!
To avoid harms to you or damages to the Meter from electric shock, please do not attempt to measure
more than 750V AC voltage (V~) or 1000V DC voltage (V ).
Insert the red test lead into the V terminal and the black test lead into the COM terminal.
Set the rotary switch to V~ mode (AC voltage measurement) or V mode (DC voltage
measurement). For unknown voltages, always begin with the largest measuring range and switch
to a lower measuring range if possible to achieve the greatest possible resolution.
