NOTE!
• For reasons of hygiene, you should clean the interior and exterior of the new cooling unit
with a damp cloth before putting it into operation (see also chapter „Cleaning and care“ The
cooling unit must be kept horizontal It is recommended that the cooling unit is placed in a
horizontal position for 24 hours before being put into operation for the first time
• A few drops of water can settle inside the cooling unit if it has been cooling for a long time
This is normal because the moisture in the air condenses to water droplets when the tempe-
rature inside the cooling unit cools down The cooling unit is not defective If necessary, wipe
it out with a dry cloth
COOLING UNIT IN USE
ATTENTION! DANGER OF DAMAGE
• Do not switch on the unit immediately after transporting it This could damage the cooling
system After transport, leave the unit for at least 30 minutes before switching it on This will
allow the coolant to collect in the compressor again and the compressor will not run dry
• Operate the unit on a single power source only The simultaneous use of the thermoelectric
cooling system and the compressor is not permitted
• Ensure that only objects or goods that may be cooled or frozen to the selected temperature
are in the cooling unit
• Ensure that drinks or food in glass containers do not cool down too much Drinks or liquid
foods expand when they are frozen This can destroy the glass containers
• Ensure that the cooling unit is well ventilated so that the heat which is extracted can be
dissipated, otherwise proper operation cannot be guaranteed In particular, the ventilation
openings must not be covered
• Place the cooling unit on a firm surface
Connect cooling unit to 12 V or 24 V
• Protect the line between the cooling unit and the battery with a fuse (maximum 5 A)
• Connect the 12/24 V connection cable to the cigarette lighter or a 12/24 V socket in the
vehicle
• The cooling unit starts to cool the interior
• When you take the cooling unit out of operation:
- Pull out the connector plug
- Wind the connection cable around the two
• Holder on the back of the unit
