Do you have a question about the Beurer ANTELOPE Corefit II and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

The Antelope Corefit II is an EMS (Electrical Muscle Stimulation) abdominal toning belt designed for muscle training, fitness, and rehabilitation. It works by delivering electrical impulses to the muscles, enhancing the body's natural processes for muscle and strength building, endurance, and regeneration. The device is suitable for healthy adults and intended for private use.

Function Description

The Antelope Corefit II consists of a control unit and an EMS training belt with integrated electrodes. The control unit features an LCD display, program and lock buttons, plus and minus buttons for intensity adjustment, and a power button for on/off/pause functions. The belt is made of elastic material and is adjustable to fit various waist sizes (approx. 75 to 130 cm).

The device offers nine EMS programs for different training goals, including endurance, fitness, HIIT, muscle and strength building, and regeneration. These programs vary in frequency, pulse length, and duty cycle.

  • Intensity (0-40 adjustable levels): Determines the pulse strength and the amount of electrical charge flowing to the muscles. Higher intensity activates more muscle fibers. Intensity can be regulated separately for the stomach and back.
  • Frequency (5-85 Hz ±10%): Dictates how often electrical impulses occur, influencing the contraction rate of individual muscle fibers. This value is fixed for Antelope programs.
  • Pulse Length (250-400 µs ±10%): Describes the duration of electrical impulses flowing into the muscles. Longer pulse lengths result in more intensive and deeper muscle activation.
  • Duty Cycle: Defines the ratio between stimulation phases and pauses during a training session. Some programs incorporate these pauses for muscle recovery, while others provide continuous stimulation.

The device also includes a button lock feature to prevent unintentional intensity changes during a training session. An automatic switch-off function turns the device off after 5 minutes of inactivity to save battery.

Usage Features

Initial Use:

  1. Insert batteries: Before first use, insert 3 x 1.5V AAA batteries into the control unit, ensuring correct polarity. The battery symbol on the display flashes when batteries are low.
  2. Put on the belt: Ensure skin is clean and free of creams or oils. Position the belt with electrodes facing your body. Moisten both electrode pairs, your stomach, and your back with water to ensure even moistening and good skin contact, preventing voltage spikes. Adjust the belt length using the two adjustable straps, ensuring stomach and back electrodes are centered and the belt is snug but not constricting.
  3. Switch on and start program: Press the power button. The LCD display lights up. The first program (P-01) is automatically displayed on first start-up. Briefly press the power button to cycle through the nine available programs.

During Training:

  • Setting intensity: Use the plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to adjust intensity from 0 to 40. Start with a slight tingling sensation and increase until muscle contractions are felt. Intensity can be set separately for the stomach and back. The intensity automatically returns to the level of the last training session when changing programs or restarting. Intensity can only be adjusted when electrodes are in full skin contact; it drops to zero if contact is lost.
  • Stopping strong impulses: Reduce intensity with the minus button or switch off the device by holding the power button for ~2 seconds.
  • Preventing unwanted changes: Activate the button lock by holding the power button for ~3 seconds until the key symbol appears. Deactivate by holding for ~3 seconds until the symbol disappears.
  • Taking a break: Briefly press the power button to pause; the pause symbol "II" will appear. Press again to resume.
  • Flexible use without belt: An accessory set (not included) allows connecting two adhesive electrodes to the control unit for flexible muscle stimulation.

Recommendations:

  • Train a maximum of three times a week.
  • Allow at least 48 hours for body regeneration between sessions.
  • Limit training sessions to 20-30 minutes, depending on load and intensity.
  • Listen to your body and know your limits.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Use an Antelope electrode contact agent, especially for dry skin.

Safety Warnings:

  • Do not use if you have implanted electrical devices (e.g., pacemaker), metal implants, cardiac arrhythmia, acute illness, epilepsy, cancer, skin lesions, or cuts in the treated area.
  • Not for use during pregnancy, with bleeding tendencies, after recent surgery where muscle contractions could affect healing, or if connected to a high-frequency surgical device.
  • Consult a doctor if you have low/high blood pressure, high fever, psychosis, swollen/inflamed areas, or acute/chronic gastrointestinal diseases.
  • Do not use on the head, neck/carotid artery, throat/larynx, or near the chest.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not use near heat sources or shortwave/microwave devices (e.g., mobile phones).
  • Do not use while bathing or showering, and do not immerse in water or other liquids.

Maintenance Features

Cleaning and Care:

  • Remove batteries before cleaning.
  • Clean the device with a slightly damp cloth. For heavy soiling, use a mild soapy solution.
  • Do not drop the device.
  • Ensure no water enters the device. If it does, allow it to dry completely before reuse.
  • Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaning agents.
  • The belt is not machine-washable. After removing the control unit, wipe the belt with lukewarm water and a mild soapy solution or liquid detergent. Do not use bleach.

Disposal:

  • Do not dispose of the device with household waste. Dispose of it at local collection or recycling points in accordance with local regulations and WEEE directive.
