To put the device into operation, proceed as follows:
Remove the packaging.
Check the device, mains adapter and cable for damage.
Ensure that the cable does not pose a trip hazard while the device is be-
ing charged.
Connect the device to the mains. When doing so, the device must be
switched off, with the sliding switch in the middle position. If the red/
green LED above the sliding switch is flashing, this means the device is
switched on, and therefore cannot be charged.
Charge the device for approximately 3 hours before the first use.
When the 3 blue charger indicator lights flash continuously, it means the
battery is charging. Once all 3 LEDs are permanently illuminated, the
device is fully charged. You can now begin using the device on battery
power.
If the blue LEDs flash quickly (1, 2 or 3 LEDs depending on the speed set-
ting) during battery operation, this indicates that the battery is dead.
You can charge the device by plugging it into the mains, or alternatively
using the USB cable.
One charge is sufficient for approx. 2 hours of cordless operation.
The device switches off automatically after 20 minutes. After this time,
have a break of at least 15 minutes to prevent the motor from over-
heating.
