  • Clearance Requirements: 12 inches at the top, 3.0 inches at the rear, 0.0 inches at left and right sides.
  • Refrigeration System: Sealed system with R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant. No access valves on the refrigeration system.

Usage Features:

  • Electronic Controller: Displays current internal temperature, allows adjustment of set temperature (factory 38°F), and indicates operational status (defrost, alarms).
  • Automatic Defrost: The refrigerator automatically defrosts as needed; there is no set time for defrost. A manual defrost can be initiated by pushing and releasing the "melting" or defrost button.
  • Internal Fan: Operates when the compressor is on and doors are closed.
  • Compressor and Condenser Fan Motor: Operate only when the controller senses an increase in internal cabinet temperature past the set point.
  • Cabinet Lighting: If equipped with glass doors, holding the "SC" button turns the cabinet light on or off.
  • Alarms: The controller displays various alarm codes (e.g., "Hi" for high temperature, "Lo" for low temperature, "dor" for door open, "LEA" for compressor run time too long, "E01-E04" for sensor failures) to indicate abnormal operation. Alarms can be acknowledged by pressing any button.
  • Door Reversal: Instructions are provided for reversing door hinges to accommodate different installation needs.
  • Shelf Installation: Detailed instructions for proper shelf clip and shelf installation to ensure stability and prevent damage or injury. Shelves should not be overloaded.
  • Casters/Legs: Units are equipped with casters or legs for mobility and leveling. Proper installation and leveling are crucial for door sealing and condensate drainage.
  • Safety: The manual emphasizes safety precautions, including careful movement of the unit, locking casters, seeking help for heavy lifting, preventing children from playing with the unit, and heeding all safety labels. It warns against using sharp objects to clean the evaporator or condenser and storing flammable materials near the cabinet.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning Schedule:
    • Cabinet: Daily wipe down, weekly interior cleaning.
    • Condenser Coil: Quarterly cleaning.
    • Gaskets: Daily inspection for tightness to the cabinet.
    • Routine Maintenance: Annually.
  • Daily Exterior Cleaning: Involves washing with a mild, chlorine-free detergent, rinsing, drying with a soft cloth, polishing with a soft cloth (wiping with the grain), and weekly use of stainless steel cleaner.
  • Weekly Interior Cleaning: Requires removing food and shelves, disconnecting power, cleaning loose food particles, scrubbing interior surfaces and door gaskets with a warm detergent solution, rinsing, air drying, and restoring power and food.
  • Condenser Cleaning: Critical for efficient operation. Involves unplugging the unit, removing the front panel, brushing and vacuuming dust/lint from the coil surface (avoiding damage to fins and wires), and reinstalling the grill. Greasy coils require professional cleaning. Air filters are not recommended.
  • Stainless Steel Cleaning Methods: A detailed table provides specific cleaning agents and methods for various types of stains and discolorations on stainless steel surfaces, including smears, stubborn spots, heat tint, burnt-on foods, tenacious deposits, and hard water spots.
  • Troubleshooting Guide: Provides solutions for common issues such as "no cooling," "unit cools but seems to be on all the time," "space temperature too high/low," and "excessive noise."
  • Service for R290 Systems: Emphasizes that service should only be attempted by a trained trade professional certified to work on R290 systems. Critical service items include avoiding wire nuts, using only sealed exact replacement switches, using process tubes for service access, cutting (not un-brazing) refrigeration components, venting R290 in a flame/spark-free area, attaching a service sign, and using a combustible gas leak detector.
  • Warranty: A limited warranty covers parts and labor for three years, with an additional four-year compressor part warranty for units shipped after 03/01/2020. Specific exceptions apply to certain models (CT96, SR/SF, Blast Chillers). The warranty is void if units are installed in residential applications, not in a conditioned environment, or if condensing coils are not cleaned regularly. It does not cover product spoilage, loss of sales, or consequential damages.
