Display Icon Information
Brake Indicator: This icon appears to advise that the brake has been engaged and power to the motor has been
disabled.
USB Power On: Confirms if USB port is powered and ready for use.
Light Indicator: Confirms the lights are turned on and dims the display for night riding.
Current Speed: Real-time actual speed information.
Average Speed: Your average speed for this ride.
Max Speed: Your maximum speed travelled this ride.
Peddle Assist Indicator (PAS): Displays the current level of power assistance, where 0 is neutral and no power and
where 1 - 9 corresponds to power assist level. 1 is low, 9 is high.
Error Warning: The system has detected an error.
Battery Charge Percentage: 100% - The battery is fully charged. 0% indicates the battery is empty and requires
charging.
Battery Charge Level: This level is based on your riding style and optimised by a range algorithm. The display learns
how you ride and provides battery level information based on this data.
Speed preference: KPH or MPH
Mileage display: 'POW' - Power output from the motor. 'Trip' - distance travelled this ride. 'ODO' - odometer, total
accumulated mileage. 'Time' - Time elapsed since the system powered on.

Keypad Functionality

Power On;Off

Turn the system on/off by long-pressing the POWER button (1-3 seconds).

Adjusting PAS Levels

Use PLUS/MINUS buttons to adjust assistance from 0 (neutral) to 9 (max).

Cycling Through Mileage Data

Short-press POWER to cycle through ODO, Trip, Time, and Power data.

Display Modes and Functions

Speed Information Display

View Average Speed, Maximum Speed, and Real-Time Speed.

Clearing Log Data

Press PLUS and MINUS buttons for 1 second to clear logs.

Walk Mode Activation

Press and hold the MINUS button to activate 6 kph walk mode.

USB Port Functionality

Long press MODE to activate USB port (5V, 500mA) for charging.

Settings Menu Configuration

Screen Brightness Setting (P1)

Adjust screen brightness from 1 (dim) to 5 (brightest).

Auto-Shutdown Configuration (P2)

Set auto-shutdown time (1-9 minutes or OFF) to save power.

Distance Unit Setting (P3)

Select distance units: 0 for KPH, 1 for MPH.

Advanced Menu Access (P5)

Access advanced settings using password 1801.

System Voltage Setting (A1)

Set system voltage (e.g., 48v). DO NOT CHANGE.

PAS Level Options (A2)

Configure available PAS levels: 3, 5, 6, or 9.

Speed Limit Adjustment (A3)

Set speed limit in KPH (e.g., 25 for UK limit, 100 for no limit).

Current;Power Limit (A4)

Set current/power limit (e.g., 5 for UK limit).

Wheel Circumference Setup (A5)

Input wheel circumference for accurate speed reading.

Throttle Control Settings (A8;A10)

Configure throttle control: 0=limited, 1=unlimited, 2=PAS+throttle.

Initial Power Setting (A12)

Set initial power for gentle (0) or maximum (5) starting.

Error Code Definitions

Battery Under Voltage (08 H)

Indicates low battery voltage; requires charging.

Motor Fault (40 H)

Possible motor issues; check Hall wire and connections.

Handlebar Fault (20 H)

Issue with handlebar wiring or connection; check and replace if needed.

Controller Fault (10 H)

Controller is damaged and needs replacement.

Communication Fault (30 H)

Problems with display wires, controller connection, or sensors.
