If steam leaks from under the cover of your Big Boss Electric Pressure Cooker, immediately unplug the power cord. Then, release the pressure by turning the pressure regulator knob to STEAM in short bursts. Once all pressure is released, carefully remove the lid. Inspect the gasket for tears or cracks and ensure it's correctly positioned. If overfilled, remove excess liquid before resuming cooking.

If the floating valve hasn't risen and the timer is running on your Big Boss Electric Pressure Cooker, it might be due to insufficient liquid. Stop the cooking process by pressing the STOP/START button. Release any remaining pressure by turning the pressure regulator knob to STEAM using short bursts, then remove the lid. Add about 1 cup (8 oz) of water or liquid, stirring well. Replace and lock the lid, select your desired pressure (LOW or HIGH) and time, then press START/STOP to continue cooking.
