Charcoal Trap Replacement Procedure for Single Trap Units
(See Figure 5.)

crewdriver, pliers and/or vice grip.

. Open the door to the trap and, using
a screwdriver (or, if need be, a pair of
pliers,) disconnect hose clamps and
t
ubes connected to the top of the lead
cartridge.
2
. Unscrew the knob holding the car-
tridge in place.
3. Check the direction of the fittings on
the top of the lead cartridge before
removing it.
4. Remove the old cartridge and place
the new cartridge into the system.
Make sure the fittings on the cartridge
point in the same direction as on the
one you removed.
5. Replace the bracket and knob.
6. Connect the tubing and the hose
clamps to their respective fittings.
7. The system is now ready for use.
8. Perform a mock study on yourself
(without Xenon) to check the system’s
operation.
NOTE: Be sure to use a bacteria filter.
NOTE: For Dual T
rap Units, remove
the right side trap, move the left trap
to the right trap position, and install
the new trap on the left side.
