Why is my Bissell 3748 Vacuum Cleaner losing suction power?
    • J
      Jeffrey PerryAug 10, 2025
Loss of suction power in your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner may occur if the tanks are not seated properly. Ensure both tanks are correctly reseated. Another cause might be a full dirty water tank; empty it. Also, check the rubber tab on the dirty water tank and press firmly to seal it tightly. Make sure the accessory hose door is closed and locked, and that the nozzle is correctly installed; try removing and reinstalling it.

How to fix reduced or no spray in Bissell 3748 Vacuum Cleaner?
    • R
      reginabaileyAug 18, 2025
If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner has reduced spray or no spray, the clean water tank might be empty. Refill it. Also, the clean water tank may not be seated completely, so turn the power off, remove, and reseat the tank. In hose cleaning mode, the pump may have lost prime. To resolve this, hold the end of the hose below the water level in the tank to prime it.

If there is no spray through the hose and tool of your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, the hose to the machine may not be primed. Turn off and unplug the machine, remove the nozzle from the foot, insert a pen in the black cylinder next to the screw, wait for water bubbles, remove the pen, and then reassemble the nozzle and hose.
