Why Bissell CLEANVIEW SWIVEL PET REACH won't pick up dirt?
- RRyan BlakeJul 29, 2025
Several factors can cause a Bissell Vacuum Cleaner to not pick up dirt. It might be due to an incorrect height adjustment—adjust the Powerfoot to the correct setting. The hose may not be properly attached; ensure you firmly push the hose wand into the base. A crack or hole in the hose could also be the culprit, so inspect the hose and replace it if necessary. Other potential causes include a broken or worn drive belt (replace it), a jammed rotating floor brush (remove any debris), a clog in the vacuum (check for build-up in the inlet and foot/lower hose), a full dirt tank (empty it), an improperly installed dirt tank (position and lock it correctly), or dirty filters (clean the pre-motor and post-motor filters, replacing the pre-motor filter if needed).
