  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner loses suction power, several factors could be the cause. Ensure that both the clean and dirty water tanks are correctly seated. Empty the dirty water tank if it has reached the maximum fill line. Refill the clean water tank if it's empty. Check the rubber tab on the dirty water tank and press firmly to seal it tightly. Also, make sure the accessory hose door is closed and locked in place. If the nozzle is clogged, follow the 'After-Cleaning Care' steps. Finally, remove and reinstall the nozzle to ensure it is correctly installed.

If you're in hose cleaning mode, the pump may have lost prime; hold the end of the hose below the water level in the tank to prime it.

  If you experience no spray through the hose and tool of your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner, the hose to your machine is not primed. With the machine OFF and unplugged, remove the nozzle from the foot. Place a ballpoint pen in the black cylinder next to the screw. When water bubbles up, remove the pen. Reassemble the nozzle and hose.
