Why is my Bissell POWERFORCE TURBO REWIND 1797 not picking up dirt?

If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner isn't picking up dirt, first, empty the dirt tank. Then, check and clean the filter, ensuring there's no debris. Make sure the hose is securely snapped into place at both ends and the dirt tank is correctly inserted. Visually inspect the air passageway, hose inlet, and hose for any blockages. If the issue persists, the rotating power brush drive belt might be broken or stretched, which would require replacement. Also, inspect the floor brush for wear or jams, cleaning any debris and checking the drive belt for damage. Replacing the floor brush might be necessary if the bristles are worn.
