  If your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner isn’t picking up dirt, several issues could be the cause. First, ensure the hose is correctly attached to the foot suction opening by firmly pushing the hose wand onto the suction opening using the quick reach handle. Also, check the hose for any cracks or holes and replace it if needed. Other potential causes include a broken or stretched drive belt (replace it), worn rotating floor brush bristles (replace the brush), a jammed rotating floor brush (remove the brush and clean debris from the brush ends), dirty filters (check and clean the pre-motor and post-motor filters), or a clog in the vacuum (follow instructions for clearing clogs).
