Why won't my Bissell POWERTRAK 1808 Vacuum Cleaner pick up dirt?
- SSteven ChavezAug 5, 2025
There are several reasons why your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner might not be picking up dirt. The filter could be dirty, so remove and rinse the pre-motor filter, and allow it to dry completely before reinserting. The main hose might not be connected; reconnect it by pushing the hose connection until the latch is secure. Also, check the main hose for cracks or holes. If there's damage, you'll need to order a new main hose from the Bissell website. Other potential issues include worn brush roll bristles (replace the brush roll), a clog in the vacuum (remove any debris), or the dirt container not being seated correctly (release and reseat the dirt container properly).
