Why won't my Bissell Vacuum Cleaner pick up dirt?
- VvanessascottAug 11, 2025
Several factors can prevent your Bissell Vacuum Cleaner from picking up dirt: * A dirty filter: Remove, rinse, and allow the filter to completely dry before reinserting. * A disconnected main hose: Reconnect the main hose by securing the latch and the other end into the vacuum base. * A crack or hole in the main hose: Order a new main hose from BISSELL.com/parts. * Brush roll is not turning: Replace the Brush Roll. * A clog in the vacuum: Check for debris build-up or clogs in the inner tank, hose and foot/lower hose; see online video for more help. * The Dirt Tank is not seated correctly: Press the Tank Release Button to release the tank and reseat properly.
