If the cutting line protrudes beyond the trimming blade, cut it off so that it just reaches the blade. Clean the spool cover and housing carefully. Remove the spool and check if the lever can move freely. Finally, remove the spool, unwind the cutting line, wind it on neatly again, and replace the spool.
