General Guidelines

Safety
• NOT recommended for tow-behind trailers including 5th wheel trailers and camping trailers
• Carrier Carrying Capacity: The SMC-600R carrier is designed to safely carry 600 lbs
• Never exceed the maximum tongue weight rating of your trailer hitch (check the weight sticker on
the trailer hitch)
• Total hauling weight is calculated by adding the total weight of the motorcycle + 99 lbs (SMC-600R
weight)
• Hitch Weight Limit: Most Class III hitches are rated for 500 lbs - Most Class IV hitches are rated for
1,000 lbs
• Some vehicles may require air shocks or heavier springs to sti󰀨en up the suspension to prevent
sagging
• Please check with the dealer or manufacturer to determine the carrying/hauling capacity of your
vehicle
• Will not work with 1-1/4" Class II or smaller receivers
• NOT recommended for use with hitch adapters/extensions

Step 1: Hitch Tube Assembly

Connect support brackets to the main hitch tube using 3/4" bolts and lock nuts.

Step 2: Carrier Frame Attachment

Secure the carrier frame between support brackets using 2" bolts and lock nuts.

Step 3: Carrier Track Installation

Attach the carrier track to the carrier frame with 3" bolts, sleeves, and lock nuts.

Step 4: Tire Stop and Cradle

Connect the front tire stop and rear cradle to the carrier track using 1" bolts.

Step 5: Ramp and Anti-Tilt Setup

Attach the loading ramp and install the anti-tilt device onto the main tube.

Step 6: Carrier Stabilization Methods

Use either hitch pin or pinch bolt method to secure the carrier to the vehicle hitch.
