Function Description:
The Blaupunkt TV is designed to provide high-definition viewing with integrated digital terrestrial television (Freeview/Saorview) and a USB Media Player for playing various content from external storage. Models with "-DUP" in their model number also include an integrated DVD player. It supports multiple input sources, including HDMI, SCART, Component, Composite/AV, and USB, making it versatile for connecting various external devices. The TV also features PVR (Personal Video Recorder) functionality via USB, allowing users to pause live TV (Time Shift), record current programs with a single button, and schedule recordings from the 7-day TV Guide.

Usage Features:
- Remote Control: A comprehensive remote control allows for power, mute, source selection (DTV, Radio, USB, DVD), channel navigation, volume control, picture/sound mode selection, menu access, and specific DVD player controls (for models with integrated DVD).
- On-TV Buttons: Buttons on the TV itself provide basic controls for volume, channel, menu, source, and standby.
- Stand Installation: The TV comes with a stand that requires assembly using provided screws and a cross-head screwdriver. Specific instructions are given for securing the stand neck to the TV and the base to the neck, emphasizing correct screw fitting and gradual tightening.
- Wall Mounting: The TV can be wall-mounted using the VESA 100 x 100 (mm) standard. Instructions include removing existing screws from the mounting holes and ensuring the TV is tilted for optimal viewing if mounted higher than eye level.
- Input Source Selection: Users can switch between various input sources (Freeview/Saorview TV, Analogue TV, Composite/AV, VGA/PC, Component/YPbPr, HDMI 1/2/3, USB Media) using the remote's SOURCE button or the TV's CH+/- and VOL+ buttons.
- Channel Menu: Features include Auto Tuning (for all digital and analogue channels), Analogue Manual Tuning, Freeview/Saorview Manual Tuning, Channel Edit (delete, move, skip, add favourites), Schedule List (programme reminders), Signal Information, and CI Information (for pay-per-view services).
- Picture Menu: Offers various Picture Modes (Dynamic, Standard, Mild, Personal, Economy) and allows manual adjustment of Contrast, Brightness, Colour, Tint (VGA/PC mode only), Sharpness, Colour Temperature (Normal, Warm, Cold), and Noise Reduction (Off, Low, Middle, High). Aspect Ratio options (Auto, 16:9, Original, 4:3, 14:9, Zoom) are available to suit different broadcast formats.
- Sound Menu: Provides Sound Modes (Standard, Music, Movie, Sports, Personal) with adjustable Treble and Bass (in Personal mode). Other settings include Balance, Auto Volume Level (AVL), Digital Output options (Off, Auto, PCM), Audio Description (for visually impaired users), and Audio Delay.
- Time Menu: Allows setting Clock, Off Time, On Time (with channel, source, and volume settings, and daily/specific day repeat options), Time Zone, Sleep Timer (auto-off after set time), Auto Standby (3, 4, or 5 hours), and OSD Timer (menu display duration).
- System/Hotel Lock Menu: Includes System/Hotel Lock (password-protected menu access, default 0000), TV Button Lock, Parental Guidance (age-based content blocking), Default Source, Default Channel, Source Lock, Channel Lock, Max Volume, and Change Password.
- DVD Setup (for -DUP models): Offers TV Display options (4:3 Pan scan, 4:3 Letter box, Wide), Speaker Setup (LT/RT, Stereo), Dual Mono options (Stereo, Mono L, Mono R, Mix Mono), Dynamic Range settings (Full, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, Off), and TV Type (PAL, Multi, NTSC). A Reset option restores default settings. The DVD player is pre-set to Region 2.
- 7 Day TV Guide: Available in Freeview/Saorview mode, displaying programme information, start/end times for up to 7 days. Users can record programmes (with USB device connected), set reminders, and navigate through days.
- USB Record (PVR): Requires a high-speed USB memory stick (minimum 20 MB/s Read, 6 MB/s Write). Features include Pause Live TV (Time Shift) with fast forward/rewind, One Button Record, and programmable recording from the TV Guide. Note: Only one channel can be recorded at a time, and recording is only available in Freeview/Saorview mode due to copyright laws. USB hard drives larger than 32GB may require FAT32 formatting using specific software.
- USB Mode / Media Player: Allows playback of Photo, Music, Movie, and Text files from a USB Memory Stick. Users navigate menus to select drives and files, with controls for playback. USB extension cables are not recommended.
- Sky Digital Set Top Box Integration: Provides instructions for connecting the TV to a Sky box via SCART or HDMI (in the same room) or via RF/COAX cable (in a different room). Includes details on tuning the TV to the Sky box and programming a Sky remote (Revision 9 or later) with code 2134 to operate the TV. Information for universal remote controls is also provided.
Maintenance Features:
- Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For very dirty surfaces, use a soft cloth dipped in a soap and water solution or weak detergent. Avoid alcohol, paint thinner, benzene, or chemically treated cloths unless instructions are read carefully.
- Packaging: Save the original box/packaging for safe transport and in case of warranty/service repair. Warranty/service may not be possible if the item cannot be packaged correctly.
- Safety Precautions:
- Avoid exposure to dust, rain, or moisture.
- Do not place objects filled with liquids on or near the apparatus.
- Ensure adequate ventilation by keeping at least 5cm from walls when wall-mounted.
- Keep candles or open flames away from the product.
- Dispose of the TV and components environmentally friendly.
- Ensure the mains plug is easily accessible for disconnection.
- Avoid excessive noise with earphones/headphones to prevent hearing loss.
- If water enters the display panel, a malfunction may occur.
- For models with DVD players, a Class 1 Laser Product warning is present, advising against opening covers or looking directly into openings.
- Fixed Image Display Warning: Extended use of fixed image program material (e.g., channel logos, time displays, teletext, DVD menus, pause mode) can cause permanent "shadow images" or "screen burn" on the LCD/LED panel. To limit this, reduce brightness/contrast, avoid displaying fixed images for extended periods, and turn off the TV when not in use. Screen burn is irreversible and not covered under warranty.
