Bluetooth phone call
The integrated Bluetooth module in your de-
vice allows the handsfree use of a phone via
a Bluetooth connection. The cell phone can
remain in the bag or the glove compartment
- you have both hands free for steeri ng. The
Bluetooth function allows for:
• Answering/rejecting phone calls
• Making phone calls
Bluetooth preparation
Prerequisites for Bluetooth phone calls are
a Bluetooth-capable cell phone and the in-
stallation of the supplied microphone (see
the installation instructions). The appen-
dix lists the cell phone that are compati-
ble with the car sound system.
How is a Bluetooth connection
established?
The Bluetooth technology is a wireless con-
nection with a short range. That is, the cell
phone must be close to the car sound sys-
tem (in the vehicle).
First, activate the Bluetooth function.
Next, register the cell phone 0 so that the
Bluetooth connection can be established

o REGISTERING - Before a Bluetooth con-
nection can be established, the devices
must first recognise each other. This proc-
ess is referred to as "registering". The car
sound system can remember up to 5 cell
phones.
Bluetooth phone call
@ CONNECTING - The car sound system
automatically establishes a Bluetooth con-
nection to the cell phone that was registered
last. A Bluetooth connection can exist only
to one cell phone: If the cell phone regis-
tered last is not within range or its Bluetooth
function is not activated, the car sound sys-
tem searches for the next cell phone in the
list of registered cell phones (see Fig.) and
establishes a Bluetooth connection to it.

If it is not available, the car sound system
connects with the next registered cell phone
and so on. If the Bluetooth connection is es-
tablished, you can make handsfree phone
calls. You can be reached by phone at any
time while continuing to operate the audio
sources.

tion" and "Registering a cell phone" provide
information how to establish a Bluetooth
con nection.
Activating the Bluetooth function
(BTON)
.... Press the MENU/OK button @.
.... Press the rocker switch /\ or V @ re-
peatedly until "BLUETOOTH MENU" ap-
pears on the display.
.... Press the rocker switch> @ to open
the menu.
.... The "PAIR" menu item is displayed in the
"BLUETOOTH" menu.
