This document describes the Blaupunkt Tower Speakers, a 2.2 channel audio system designed for an immersive sound experience. The system supports a variety of input sources, including Bluetooth, USB, AUX-IN, and HDMI-ARC, making it versatile for connecting to different media devices like TVs, media players, PCs, DVDs, smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

Function Description:

The Blaupunkt Tower Speakers are a twin tower speaker system featuring a 2.2 channel configuration. This setup is designed to deliver rich and powerful audio, suitable for enhancing the sound from various entertainment sources. The system incorporates a Class D amplifier, which is known for its efficiency and ability to operate across a wide AC working voltage range, ensuring stable performance.

Key functions include:

  • Digital Volume, Bass, Treble, MIC Volume & MIC Echo Control: These controls allow users to fine-tune the audio output to their preferences, adjusting overall volume, low frequencies (bass), high frequencies (treble), and microphone-specific settings for karaoke or vocal applications. The MIC Echo effect adds a professional touch to vocal performances.
  • Digital FM Playability with wired Antenna: The integrated FM radio allows users to listen to their favorite radio stations, with a wired antenna ensuring optimal reception.
  • TWS connectivity between two units: This feature enables two Tower Speaker units to connect wirelessly, creating a true stereo soundstage and expanding the audio experience.
  • MIC Voice Priority effect: This function automatically lowers the background music volume when the microphone is in use, ensuring that vocals are clear and prominent.

Usage Features:

The Tower Speakers offer multiple ways to control and interact with the device:

Main Unit Top Touch Control: The top panel of the main unit features intuitive touch controls for quick access to essential functions:

  • Power ON/Mode Key: A short touch powers on the unit and cycles through different input modes (Bluetooth, USB, AUX-IN, HDMI-ARC, FM). A long touch puts the unit into standby mode.
  • Previous/Vol- Key: A short touch navigates to the previous track. A long touch decreases the volume.
  • Play/Pause/Scan Key: A short touch plays or pauses playback. In FM mode, it initiates a scan for radio channels.

  • EQ Key: A short press allows for tone control adjustments. A long press changes the equalizer effect, offering different sound profiles.

Remote Control: A fully functional remote control provides comprehensive command over the system from a distance:

  • POWER: Toggles between standby mode and on/off.
  • MUTE: Mutes and unmutes the audio playback.
  • TRE+ / TRE-: Increases or decreases the high-frequency sound effect level.

Bluetooth Pairing:

To pair with a Bluetooth device, press the INPUT button to select Bluetooth mode. The speakers will announce "Bluetooth pairing" and become discoverable for 15 minutes. Users can then search for "Tower Speakers" on their Bluetooth device and connect. Volume can be controlled via both the source device and the Tower Speakers' remote. The system is not equipped with a microphone for hands-free calls.

HDMI TV (ARC) Connection:

To connect via HDMI ARC, plug one end of an ARC-compatible HDMI cable into the HDMI (ARC) port on the TV and the other end into the HDMI TV (ARC) port on the Tower Speakers. Users must then adjust their TV's audio settings to Dolby Digital, enable CEC and ARC (SAC) functions in the SYSTEM menu, and select Device Discovery in the CEC menu to register the speakers. Enabling System Audio Control in the CEC menu allows the TV remote to control the speaker volume.

Speaker Placement: For optimal audio experience, the Tower Speakers' subwoofers should always face inwards.

Maintenance Features:

The manual provides important safety instructions that double as maintenance guidelines to ensure the longevity and safe operation of the device:

  • Cleaning: The unit should be cleaned only with a dry cloth. Avoid using liquid or spray cleaners, and abrasive cleaners. Unplug the power cord before cleaning.
  • Ventilation: Ensure ventilation openings are not blocked or covered to prevent overheating. Do not place the unit in an enclosed space without proper ventilation.
  • Liquid and Object Prevention: Never spill liquids on the unit or push objects into its slots and openings, as this can cause short circuits, fire, or electric shock.
  • Moisture Protection: Keep the unit away from moisture, rain, or dripping/splashing water. If water enters the unit, unplug it immediately and contact a dealer.
  • Power Cord Care: Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched. Always hold the power plug, not the cord, when unplugging. Unplug the unit during lightning storms or when unused for extended periods.
  • Battery Handling: Insert remote control batteries with correct polarity. Do not expose batteries to direct sunlight, disassemble them, or dispose of them in fire to avoid explosion or fire hazards.
  • Environmental Conditions: Avoid installing the unit in areas with heavy dust or high humidity, or near heat sources. If moving the unit from a cold to a warm area, allow time for condensation to dissipate before turning it on.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual includes a troubleshooting section for common issues like no power, no sound, buzzing/humming, or remote control malfunction. These steps guide users through basic checks such as verifying power connections, adjusting volume, checking input sources, and replacing remote batteries. For persistent issues, contacting qualified service personnel is recommended.
  • Packaging for Transit: For warranty service or transport, use the original packaging or other suitable packaging to protect the unit.
