Operation
In the Blue Lagoon UV-C Timer, a UV-C radiation with a wavelength of 253.7 nm is generated by the special Philips UV lamp, ensuring a lethal
eect on bacteria (including Legionella bacteria). The Blue Lagoon UV-C Timer will ensure that your pool water is clean, fresh and clear in an
ecient and environmentally-friendly manner. The water is led through the UV-C device via a pump. The UV-C radiation neutralises bacteria,
viruses and other primitive organisms and stops them from multiplying. The Blue Lagoon UV-C Timer has a built-in high-frequency electronic
ballast, which absorbs current uctuations, thereby protecting the lamp. In addition, the device contains an integrated time meter that
accurately monitors the number of operating hours. You can therefore see exactly when the lamp must be replaced. In addition, the stainless
steel interior ensures the reection of the UV-C rays, thereby increasing the eciency up to 35%. Thanks to the Blue Lagoon UV-C Timer, your

Safety
This device produces harmful radiation. Direct contact could jeopardise the eyes and skin. Only check the operation of the UV-C lamp
via the transparent components of the unit.
- Always remove the plug from the socket before carrying out maintenance or repair work on the unit. Never put the plug in / pull the plug
from the socket when you are standing in water or if your hands are wet.
- Keepchildrenawayfromthisdeviceandfromthecable.
- The cable of the device cannot be replaced. In case of damage to the power cable, the complete electrical unit must be replaced. Never
remove the plug; leave the electrical unit intact. An electrical unit with the plug removed will no longer be covered by the guarantee.
- Neverinstalltheunitinanareasubjecttofullsunlight.
- Ensurethatthereisalwayswaterowingthroughtheunitwhenthelampison.
- Oncethedevicehasbeenswitchedo,thelampwillremainhotforapproximately10minutes.
- Donotusethedeviceifanyofthecomponentsaredamaged(inparticularthequartzglass).
- Removethedeviceifthereisariskoffreezingduringthewintermonths.
- The stainless steel housing of the device is not suitable for salt water baths with a high salt content. If the salt content is too high, the steel
will oxidise and damage the housing.
