How to fix burner that will not light using igniter on Blue Rhino GAD15253B Outdoor Fireplace?
    • M
      Mason BradleyAug 4, 2025
If your Blue Rhino Outdoor Fireplace burner won't light using the igniter, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the LP gas tank valve is open and the regulator is securely attached. If the tank is low or empty, exchange, refill, or replace it. Check for LP gas leaks by closing the tank valve, waiting 5 minutes, and following the leak-checking procedure. A dead battery can also be the culprit, so replace the AA battery. Wet electrodes and burners should be wiped dry with a cloth. For cracked electrodes, loose wires, shorting wires, a faulty thermocouple, or a bad igniter, replacement parts may be needed, and you should contact Customer Care at 800.762.1142.

Why is there a sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height in my Blue Rhino Outdoor Fireplace?
    • A
      Amanda ThompsonAug 9, 2025
A sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height in your Blue Rhino Outdoor Fireplace may be due to the unit running out of gas, so you should exchange, refill, or replace the LP gas tank. Alternatively, the overfilling prevention device may have been activated. To reset it: 1. Turn the control knob to “OFF”. 2. Wait 30 seconds, then light the outdoor fire table. 3. If the flames are still too low: * Turn the control knob(s) “OFF”. * Turn the LP gas tank valve to “CLOSED”. * Disconnect the regulator. * Turn the control knobs to (HIGH). * Wait one minute. * Turn the control knobs to “OFF”. * Reconnect the regulator, and leak check the connections, being careful not to fully open the valve. * Light the outdoor fire table.

Why does flame go out on my Blue Rhino GAD15253B?
    • K
      Kenneth FloydAug 19, 2025
If the flame of your Blue Rhino Outdoor Fireplace goes out, it could be due to several reasons. High or gusting winds can extinguish the flame, so avoid using the fire table in such conditions. If the LP gas is low, exchange, refill, or replace the tank. The excess flow valve may have tripped; in this case, refer to the section on 'Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height'. If the thermocouple is not operating correctly, disconnect the LP Gas tank, clean the area around the thermocouple, reconnect the LP gas tank, and relight. If the outdoor fire table is still not working, please contact Customer Care at 800.762.1142 for additional assistance.

    • S
      suzannerothAug 25, 2025
An irregular flame pattern, where the flame doesn't run the full length of the burner on your Blue Rhino Outdoor Fireplace, is often caused by clogged or blocked burner ports. Cleaning the burner ports should resolve this issue.

Why is the flame yellow or orange on my Blue Rhino GAD15253B Outdoor Fireplace?
    • B
      Brenda CarterAug 29, 2025
If the flame on your Blue Rhino Outdoor Fireplace is yellow or orange, it could be due to a few reasons. A new burner may have residual manufacturing oils, so burn the outdoor fire table for 15 minutes and reinspect. Spider webs or insect nests in the burner/venturi tube can also cause this, so clean the burner/venturi tube. Additionally, ensure the burner/venturi tube is properly engaged with the valve, as poor alignment can affect the flame color.

What to do if burner will not light with match on Blue Rhino Outdoor Fireplace?
    • J
      James DunnNov 13, 2025
If the burner of your Blue Rhino Outdoor Fireplace won't light with a match, there could be several reasons. First, check if the LP gas tank is empty and exchange, refill, or replace it if needed. If the tank isn't empty, it could be a gas flow issue. Also, check for LP gas leaks by closing the tank valve, waiting 5 minutes, and following the leak-checking procedure. Ensure the coupling nut and regulator are fully connected by hand-tightening them. Obstructions in gas flow can occur, so clear the burner/venturi tube and check for bent or kinked hoses. Make sure the burner is properly engaged with the valve. Clean the burner/venturi tube to remove any spider webs or insect nests. Clean burner ports if they are clogged or blocked. Finally, if the thermocouple is not operating correctly, disc...
