Why are my bluelab Soil pH Pen Measuring Instruments readings jumping?
- DDeborah BryantSep 12, 2025
If your Bluelab Measuring Instruments readings are noisy (jumping), it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, the contact zone might not be immersed properly; make sure your soil or substrate is sufficiently damp. Second, the probe may not be adequately hydrated. To fix this, soak the probe in Bluelab pH Probe Storage Solution or tap water for 24 hours, then retest. Avoid measuring proteins or oils with the unit, as this could require a replacement.
