-therecoveryprocessis
supervisedatalltimesby
acompetentperson;
-recoveryequipmentand
cylindersconformtothe
appropriatestandards.
• Pumpdownrefrigerant
system,ifpossible.
• Ifavacuumisnotpossible,
makeamanifoldsothat
refrigerantcanberemoved
fromvariouspartsofthe
system.
• Makesurethatcylinder
issituatedonthescales
beforerecoverytakes
place.
• Starttherecoverymachine
andoperateinaccordance
withmanufacturer’s
instructions.
• Donotoverllcylinders.
(Nomorethan80%
volumeliquidcharge).
• Donotexceedthe
maximumworking
pressureofthecylinder,
eventemporarily.
• Whenthecylinders
havebeenlled
correctlyandtheproces
completed,makesure
thatthecylindersandthe
equipmentareremoved
fromsitepromptlyand
allisolationvalvesonthe
equipmentareclosedoff.
• Recoveredrefrigerant
shallnotbecharged
intoanotherrefrigeration
systemunlessithasbeen
cleanedandchecked.
• Equipmentshallbelabelled
statingthatithasbeende-
commissionedandemptied
ofrefrigerant.Thelabel
shallbedatedandsigned.
Ensurethattherearelabels
ontheequipmentstating
theequipmentcontains
ammablerefrigerant.
• Whenremoving
refrigerantfromasystem,
eitherforservicingor
decommissioning,itis
