correctly. Make sure that the seats and their
backrests are correctly engaged or locked. If
possible, adjust the height of the head re‐
straints, or remove them.
WARNING
Once the rear backrest has been folded down,
the locking bracket protrudes into the interior.
There is a risk of material damage. When the
rear seat backrest is folded down, watch out for
the protruding locking bracket and keep this
area clear.
NOTE
Vehicle parts can be damaged when folding
down the rear backrest. There is a risk of mate‐
rial damage. When folding down, make sure
that the area of movement of the rear backrest
including head restraint is kept clear.
Folding down the rear backrest
manually
From the rear
1.
If necessary, remove the corresponding head
restraint.
2. Pull the lever in the recess and fold the rear
seat backrest forwards.
Folding back the rear backrest
Fold the rear seat backrest back into seat posi‐
tion and engage. Ensure that the seat belt is not
jammed. The red mark behind the recess disap‐
pears completely.
Folding down the rear backrest
electrically
From the luggage compartment
Pull switch in the luggage compartment.
Top switch: right rear backrest folds forwards.
Bottom switch: left and middle rear backrests
fold forwards.
Folding down the middle part
1.
Fold down the middle head restraint.
2. Pull the lever and fold the middle part for‐
wards.
