Engine oil pressure too low Stop immediately and switch off the
engine. You cannot continue your jour-
ney. Contact BMW Service.
Engine oil level too low Top up engine oil immediately; see
page 100 for more information.
Shows red:
Service appointment is overdue Arrange an appointment to have the car
serviced.
Checking service requirements, see
page 53.
Shows yellow:
Service is due Arrange an appointment to have the car
serviced.
Checking service requirements, see
page 53.
No service due
Particle filter malfunctioning You can continue your journey.
Have the system checked as soon as
possible.
Active Cruise Control failed Keep a safe distance.
Have the system checked.
Active Cruise Control deactivated:
> Driving stability control systems are
active or
> Parking brake is applied or
> Vehicle speed has fallen below
30 km/h (20 mph) or
> Engaged gear is not suitable for the
speed being driven or
Keep a safe distance.
> Radar sensor is dirty Clean the radar sensor, see page 48.
The engine speed is too low Select a lower gear if the driving situa-
tion permits you to do so.
The engine speed is too high Select a higher gear if the driving situa-
tion permits you to do so.
