CAMSHAFT
Removal
And Installation
Remove the rocker arms, rocker and shaft and bearing
cap.
(See Page 7B-27.)
Installation: Lubricate the camshaft lobes and bearing
journals before
installing the camshaft. Tighten the
camshaft sprocket
bolt to the correct torque [A).
Inspection
Check the camshaft journals for wear, scratches or
seizure.
If the journal is excessively worn, replace the
camshaft.
Check the cam
lobes for the correct specification [B).
