If the vacuum regulator is completely open, close it entirely and check the vacuum on both the instrument and patient sides by turning the knob clockwise. If the filter is plugged, replace it. Ensure the tubing connecting the filter with the device is properly connected, not bent, and not plugged; replace if necessary and remove any bends. For an OB-J FA jar, disconnect the tubing, empty the jar, and verify the overflow valve moves correctly with the silicon gasket facing upwards, ensuring the jar remains upright. If the pump is damaged, contact an authorized service center.
