Door Spring Removal

The Door Springs are located on the
bottom of the Base, Fig. 16-15, and
operate via a Spring Cable and Reel
that counter balances the weight of
the Outer Door, Fig. 16-16.
If a Door Panel Kit is applied to the
dishwasher, the factory springs must be
replaced with the heavy duty version
that is provided with the panel kit.
TO REPLACE THE SPRINGS:
Lay the dishwasher on its back,
being careful not to damage the
Drain Hose. Then using a small
screwdriver, remove the Door
Springs by prying the Spring Plate
out from the Base, Fig. 16-17.
Then remove the Spring Cable
by unhooking it from the Spring,
Fig. 16-18.
