1. Important note
Electrical systems and resources may only be
put into operation when they are in proper
working condition (see also Testing
technology information 0108_084). This
requirement is deemed to be fulfilled when,
after a modification or a repair (first test), it
has been assured that specifications in
accordance with the electrotechnical
regulations have been complied with. To this
end, tests are to be performed that comply
with the methods and scopes as in
accordance with the measures specified in
the electrotechnical regulations (e.g. in
Germany BGV A2). VDE 0701/0702 Section 1
describes the type and scope of tests valid for
Germany. The corresponding country-specific
regulations are to be adhered to.
Hazardous grounded voltages!
An isolation transformer must be used!
Connect one device to the transformer only!
Unauthorized personnel must be prevented
from accessing the unit!
Disconnect any unattended units from the
mains supply!
! Danger of injury through unit slipping or falling!
Place battery charger horizontally and securely on a solid
base. Note weight of unit!
Keep workplace clean and tidy!
Put away tools, test devices and cables immediately after
their use!
1.1 Test equipment and tools
- Multirange meter, e.g. Bosch MMD 302 (0 684 500 302)
or commercial one.
- portable multiscope, e.g. PMS 100 (0 684 416 100)
- Isolation transformer.
- Test battery: 12V / 66 Ah.
- Test device in accordance with DIN VDE 0702 (0701)
Section 1 or in accordance with the relevant country-specific
safety regulations
