Do you have a question about the Bosch CleverMixx Fun MSM14 Series and is the answer not in the manual?

Overview

This document describes a hand blender, a versatile kitchen appliance designed for various food preparation tasks.

Function Description

The hand blender is primarily used for cutting, mixing, and pureeing food. It is suitable for preparing mayonnaise, sauces, blended drinks, baby food, cooked fruits and vegetables, and pureeing soups. The appliance is designed for domestic use and should not be used for industrial or commercial purposes. It is not suitable for preparing purees consisting solely of potatoes or foods with a similar consistency; for such tasks, a Bosch hand blender with a "ProPuree" masher attachment is recommended. The blender jug is not suitable for microwave use.

Important Technical Specifications

The appliance is designed for indoor use at room temperature and up to 2000 meters above sea level. It must be connected to an alternating current power supply via a correctly installed earthed socket. Ensure that the protective conductor system of the domestic electrical installation is correctly installed. The appliance should only be connected and operated according to the specifications on the type plate. Repairs, such as replacing a damaged power cord, must only be carried out by authorized customer service personnel to prevent hazards. The appliance should never be connected to or operated by timers or remote control sockets.

Usage Features

The hand blender consists of a base unit and interchangeable blender feet. There are three types of blender feet available:

  1. Standard Blender Foot: Suitable for processing food in larger receptacles, directly in a pot, or in the special blender jug.
  2. Stainless Steel Blender Foot: Similar to the standard blender foot, offering enhanced durability and hygiene due to its stainless steel construction.
  3. Mini Blender Foot: Specifically designed for processing small quantities in narrow receptacles with a diameter of approximately 45-60 mm.

Before first use, the appliance must be fully unpacked, cleaned, and checked for completeness and visible damage. All parts should be thoroughly cleaned and dried.

Operation:

  1. Prepare the ingredients, cutting large pieces into smaller ones. For the mini blender foot, cut ingredients into even smaller pieces.
  2. Place the ingredients in a suitable, tall, and stable receptacle or directly in a cooking pot.
  3. Completely unwind the power cord.
  4. Attach the desired blender foot to the base unit by aligning and rotating clockwise until securely connected.
  5. Plug the appliance into the mains socket.
  6. Hold the appliance with one hand and immerse the blender foot into the ingredients. Securely hold the receptacle with the other hand.
  7. Press and hold the ON button to operate the appliance.
  8. Release the ON button once the desired consistency is achieved.
  9. Unplug the mains plug.

Safety Precautions during Use:

  • Risk of scalding: Exercise caution when processing hot food, as it may splash. Do not place the blender foot on hot surfaces or use it in very hot food. Allow boiling food to cool to at least 80°C before processing. If using in a cooking pot, remove the pot from the hotplate first.
  • Risk of injury: After switching off, wait for the blender blade to come to a complete standstill. Never touch the blade with bare hands. Always switch off and disconnect the appliance from the mains before changing accessories or moving parts.
  • To prevent splashing: Fully immerse the blender blade in the ingredients.
  • For liquid foods: Immerse the blender foot at a slight angle to ensure better blending and prevent suction at the bottom of the receptacle.
  • Solid foods: Hard foods like apples, potatoes, or meat must be cut into pieces and soft-cooked before processing. For chopping raw foods (onions, garlic, herbs), use the universal cutter.

Maintenance Features

The appliance must be thoroughly cleaned after each use.

Cleaning Instructions:

  1. Disconnect from power: Always unplug the appliance from the mains before cleaning to prevent electric shock.
  2. Base unit: Never immerse the base unit in water or place it in the dishwasher. Wipe the base unit with a soft, damp cloth and dry it. Do not use alcohol- or spirit-based cleaning agents, sharp, pointed, or metallic objects, or abrasive cloths/cleaning agents.
  3. Accessories: Clean the blender feet, blender jug, and other accessories with a detergent solution and a soft cloth or sponge, or place them in the dishwasher.
  4. Drying the blender foot: Allow the blender foot to dry in an upright position (blade facing upwards) to allow any trapped water to drain out.
  5. Easy cleaning tip: After use, place the blender foot in a receptacle with clean water and briefly press the ON button several times.
  6. Stain removal: Discoloration on plastic parts from processing foods like red cabbage or carrots can be removed with a few drops of cooking oil.

The appliance is designed for easy disassembly of its components for cleaning, as shown in the provided diagrams.

Disposal:

Dispose of packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. The appliance is marked according to European Directive 2012/19/EU concerning waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). This directive provides a framework for the return and recycling of used appliances throughout the EU. Consult your specialist retailer for current disposal facilities.

Guarantee:

The guarantee conditions for this appliance are defined by the manufacturer's representative in the country of purchase. The sales receipt or proof of purchase is required for any guarantee claims. Repairs by unauthorized personnel will void the warranty.
