Dust Extraction

Attaching the Dust Box

Attach the dust box onto the outlet piece 9 and allow it to snap in; ensure holder 8 latches correctly.

Emptying the Dust Box

Actuate latching lever 10, pull box down, empty dust, clean filter element with a soft brush.

Changing the Sanding Belt

Initial Operation

Mains Voltage Check

Ensure the power source voltage matches the nameplate. 230V equipment can connect to 220V.

Switching On and Off

Push On/Off switch 1 to start. Press lock-on button 2 to keep it engaged. Release switch or push/release to turn off.

Speed and Belt Pre-selection (PBS 7 AE)

Pre-select belt speed using thumbwheel 6 during operation based on material tested.

Operating Instructions

Sanding Technique

Use light pressure, work with machine's weight. Apply to workpiece when switched on, use parallel/overlapping strokes with grain.

Sanding Belt Maintenance

Change worn, clogged, or torn belts. Do not use belts for metal on other materials.

Stationary Use

PBS 7 A/AE Stationary Setup

Turn machine upside down, clamp to workbench using screw clamps 15 in recesses 7. Use parallel/angle guide 14.

PBS 7 AE SET Stationary Setup

Fasten base unit with screws, clamp to workbench with screw clamps 15. Use parallel/angle guide 14.

Maintenance and Cleaning

General Cleaning

Pull mains plug before work. Keep machine and ventilation slots clean. Remove sanding dust with a brush.

Access Clip Cleaning

Remove access clip 13 periodically to ensure optimum extraction performance.
