Usage Features
- Self-Heating Function: The battery automatically activates its self-heating function when charging and the battery temperature is ≤33.8°F. Heating continues until the battery temperature reaches ≥46.4°F, preventing charging in low-temperature environments (below 32°F) that could reduce battery life. This function only operates when the battery is charging, utilizing external energy.
- BMS Protection: The integrated Battery Management System (BMS) provides comprehensive protection, including overcharge, overdischarge, overcurrent, high temperature, low temperature, and short circuit protection.
- Battery System Scalability:
- Up to 4 batteries can be connected in series to form a 48V battery system.
- Up to 4 batteries can be connected in parallel to form a 400Ah battery system.
- For combined series and parallel connections, batteries should first be connected in parallel, and then the parallel-connected packs should be connected in series.
- Product Appearance: The battery features a positive terminal (M8, 0.6inch), negative terminal (M8, 0.6inch), threading holes (60mm5mm), a handle, and mounting holes (Φ0.2inch) for secure installation. There are 4 0.2-inch holes at the bottom and 2 threading holes for better securing the battery.
- Connection Guidelines:
- Ensure each battery is fully charged before connecting in series or parallel.
- It is recommended to use batteries of the same brand and specification for connections. If using different batteries, contact BougeRV for confirmation.
- After parallel connection, wait at least 6 hours before charging and discharging.
- Charging Equipment: Compatible with solar charge controllers (MPPT/PWM) set to 12V system voltage for lithium iron phosphate batteries, and chargers that support lithium battery/lithium iron phosphate battery charging.
Maintenance Features
- Storage Temperature:
- Short term: -4°F~113°F
- Long term: 32°F~95°F
- General Storage: Store at 75% capacity and recharge every 6 months.
- Discharge Management: Do not discharge the battery under 10V to prevent over-discharge, which shortens battery life.
- Regular Charging: The battery needs to be charged every 3-6 months to prevent over-discharge.
- Troubleshooting Low Voltage: If the battery fails during use and the voltage is too low to charge, a charger with a 0V function can be used to charge the battery from 0V.
- Safety Precautions:
- Read all instructions and cautions before installation.
- Do not disassemble or attempt to repair the battery.
- Keep the battery away from water, heat sources, sparks, and hazardous chemicals.
- Ensure all connections are tight and correct.
- Wear proper protective equipment and use insulated tools when working on the battery.
- Do not wear jewelry or other metal objects when working on or around the battery.
- Keep the battery out of reach of young children.
- Do not expose the battery to extreme temperatures over 113°F.
- Avoid short circuits, crushing, mutilation, reverse polarity, or disposal in fire.
- Do not connect or disconnect terminals from the battery without first disconnecting loads.
