Note
The enrichment system is designed for starting
a cold engine. For maximum performance, allow
sufficient time for the engine to warm up.
When driving, the enrichment system must be
turned off so as not to unnecessarily increase fuel
consumption.
To turn off a plunger carburettor, lower the lever.
To turn off a wire type enrichment carburettor,
push the lever forward.
Kick Start Lever
The kick start lever is installed on the right side of the
engine. Owing to the engine kick start mechanism, the
engine can be started in any gear provided the clutch is
released first (ST-250 model only).
Warning
After the engine is started, check that the start
lever has returned to its normal position. Do not
use the kick starter and the electric starter at the
same time.
