The Braun cruZer3 (Type 5734) is a versatile grooming appliance designed for shaving, trimming, and styling facial hair. It features a unique rotating styler and multiple attachments to achieve various beard lengths and styles.

Function Description:

The cruZer3 is primarily a shaver that provides a close, smooth shave using its shaver foil and cutter block. It also incorporates a rotating styler with both wide and narrow shapers for precise trimming and contouring. The device is designed for both wet and dry use, allowing for cleaning under running water. It operates cordlessly, powered by rechargeable batteries, and can also be used while connected to the power supply if the batteries are discharged.

Usage Features:

Shaving:
- Always shave before washing your face.
- Hold the shaver at right angles (90°) to the skin.
- Stretch the skin and shave against the direction of hair growth.
- For pre-shaving long hairs (after a few days of not shaving), use the wide shaper (4a) first, then finish with the shaver foil for a close shave.
- The floating foil frame automatically adapts to the skin surface for a smooth shave.
Rotating Styler (4):
- Wide Shaper (4a - 28 mm): Ideal for evenly cutting and trimming large areas like sideburns, moustaches, and partial short beards. It features safety rips and a gliding strip for less irritation. To use, press the blue stripes to push up the styler. Guide against hair growth while stretching the skin.
- Narrow Shaper (4b - 14 mm): Designed for precise contouring, defining lines, and edges. To use, push up the styler and turn it 180°.
- Frequent use of the styler may reduce battery capacity.
Trimming Attachment (7):
- Used for beard trimming and maintaining a constant length.
- Attaches onto the shaver foil (2) and snaps into place.
- Beard Length Selector (8): Press and slide up to set desired beard length (1.2 mm, 2.8 mm, 4.4 mm, 6 mm).
- Activate the on/off switch and trim against hair growth, guiding the transparent comb part over the skin.
Short Beard Attachment (10):
- Perfect for creating and maintaining a stubble look.
- Attaches in the same way as the trimming attachment (7).
- Push up the styler and use the appliance as shown in figure (f) for an optimum usage angle.
On/Off Switch (6): Activates and deactivates the shaver.

Maintenance Features:

Cleaning Under Running Water:
- The appliance is suitable for cleaning under an open water tap.
- Warning: Detach the hand-held part from the power supply before cleaning in water.
- For quick cleaning after each shave, switch the shaver on (cordless) and rinse the shaving head under hot running water (g).
- A natural-based soap (without particles or abrasive substances) can be used. Rinse off all foam and let the shaver run for a few more seconds.
- After rinsing, switch off the shaver, remove the shaver foil (2) and cutter block (3), and leave the disassembled parts to dry.
- If regularly cleaned under water, apply a drop of light machine oil onto the long hair trimmer and shaver foil (i) once a week.
Brush Cleaning (h):
- Switch off the shaver and remove the shaver foil.
- Use the provided brush to clean the cutter block (3) and the inner area of the shaver head.
- Do not clean the shaver foil with the brush as this may damage it.
Battery Preservation:
- To maintain optimum battery capacity, fully discharge the shaver (by shaving) approximately every 6 months, then recharge to full capacity.
Replacement Parts:
- Replace the shaver foil (2) and cutter block (3) (part number 20S) at least every 18 months or when worn to maintain 100% shaving performance. Changing both parts simultaneously ensures a closer shave with less skin irritation.
Oil Bottle: Keep out of reach of children. Do not swallow. Dispose of properly when empty.

Safety Precautions:

The shaver is provided with a special cord set with an integrated Safety Extra Low Voltage power supply. Do not exchange or manipulate any part of it to avoid electric shock.
For hygienic reasons, do not share the appliance with others.
When using on other body areas, ensure the skin is stretched.
This appliance is not intended for use by children or persons with reduced physical or mental capabilities unless supervised by a responsible person. Keep out of reach of children. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
