  An unpleasant smell from your Braun Rechargeable shaver head may be due to: * Cleaning the shaver head with water incorrectly. * Using the cleaning cartridge for too long. To address this: * When cleaning the shaver head with water, use only hot water and, occasionally, some liquid soap (without abrasive substances). Remove the Foil & Cutter cassette and let it dry. * Change the cleaning cartridge at least every 8 weeks.

If so, renew the Foil & Cutter cassette. * The shaving system could be clogged. To resolve this, soak the Foil & Cutter cassette in hot water with a drop of dish liquid, then rinse it thoroughly, tap it out, and once dry, apply a drop of light machine oil to the foil.

  If cleaning doesn't start when you press the start button on your Braun Electric Shaver, check the following: * Ensure the shaver is properly placed in the Clean & Charge Station, pushed to the rear so that the contacts align. * Verify the cleaning cartridge contains sufficient cleaning fluid. If the display blinks red, insert a new cleaning cartridge and press the start button again. * The appliance might be in stand-by mode. Press the start button again to initiate cleaning.
