Another cause may be a clogged shaving system. In this case, soak the Foil & Cutter cassette in hot water with a drop of dish liquid, then rinse it properly and tap it out. Once dry, apply a drop of light machine oil on the foil.

  If cleaning doesn't start when you press the start button on your Braun Electric Shaver's Clean & Charge Station, make sure the shaver is correctly placed in the station, pushed to the rear so that the contacts align. Also, check if the cleaning cartridge has sufficient cleaning fluid; if the display blinks red, insert a new cartridge and press the start button again. Finally, if the appliance is in standby mode, press the start button again.
