The IQ-BASIC-GPS is very easy and intuitive to handle. With some toggling and testing you will be very
soon familiar with all functions and the set up menu. Any way, here some advises to the functions.
1. Power supply
The IQ-BASIC-GPS can be powered by 2 x 1,5 volt alkaline batteries, or with 2 x 1,2 volt rechargeable
NiMh batteries. We ship the instrument with alkaline batteries. The correct battery type must be entered at the
instrument set-up menu.
2. Switching on ± off
On: Press key 1 and confirm with key 7.
Off: Press key 1 longer and confirm with key 7.
3. Setting: Height A1/QNH, height A2, height A3
With a short press on key 6 select A1/QNH = height above sea level, or A2 = reference height. Pressing key 6
longer, A1 will blink and the QNH in field 9. With key 5 ± up or 2 ± down you can adjust the height or QNH.
Confirm with key 7 ± OK.
