Overview

Breville Smart Oven™ Pro (BOV820)

The Breville Smart Oven™ Pro (BOV820) is a versatile countertop oven designed to cook food more evenly and quickly using its Element IQ™ cooking technology. This technology adjusts the power of the heating elements to optimize cooking results. The oven offers a range of functions, each with preset settings that can be customized to personal taste.

Function Description

The Smart Oven™ Pro features a variety of cooking functions to accommodate different culinary needs:

  • GRILL Function: Ideal for open-faced sandwiches, small cuts of meat, poultry, fish, sausages, and vegetables. It can also be used to brown the tops of casseroles and gratins. The grill setting can be adjusted to LO, MED, or HI, with a time range of up to 20 minutes.
  • TOAST Function: Browns and crisps the outside of bread while keeping the inside soft and moist. This function is also suitable for English muffins and frozen waffles. Users can select a darkness level from 1 to 7 and toast up to 6 slices. The oven features a magnetic auto-eject rack for easy removal of toasted items when the door is opened slowly.
  • CRUMPET Function: Crisps the top of crumpets while lightly toasting the base. It's also suitable for bagels or thick-sliced specialty breads that require one side to be toasted more than the other. Darkness levels from 1 to 7 and up to 6 crumpets can be selected.
  • BAKE Function: Cooks food evenly throughout, making it ideal for cakes, muffins, brownies, pastries, and pre-packaged frozen meals like lasagne and pot pies. The temperature can be set from 50°C/120°F to 230°C/450°F, with a cooking time of up to 2 hours for temperatures above 150°C/300°F and up to 10 hours for temperatures below 150°C/300°F. Convection is a preset setting for this function.
  • ROAST Function: Designed for cooking a variety of meats and poultry, ensuring tender and juicy interiors with perfectly roasted exteriors. Temperature can be adjusted from 50°C/120°F to 230°C/450°F, with cooking times up to 2 hours for temperatures above 150°C/300°F and up to 10 hours for temperatures below 150°C/300°F. Convection is a preset setting.
  • PIZZA Function: Melts and browns cheese and toppings while crisping the pizza crust. It supports temperatures from 50°C/120°F to 230°C/450°F and cooking times up to 2 hours. This function includes preset CONVECTION and FROZEN settings. For optimal results with a pizza stone, it's recommended to preheat the stone without the pizza.
  • COOKIES Function: Ideal for baking homemade or commercially prepared cookies and other baked treats like crescent rolls, cinnamon scrolls, biscuits, and strudels. Temperature can be adjusted from 50°C/120°F to 230°C/450°F, with cooking times up to 1 hour. Convection is a preset setting.
  • REHEAT Function: Reheats leftovers without browning. Temperature can be adjusted from 50°C/120°F to 230°C/450°F, with cooking times up to 2 hours. Convection is a preset setting.
  • WARM Function: Maintains hot foods at a recommended temperature (70°C/160°F or above) to prevent bacterial growth. Temperature can be adjusted from 50°C/120°F to 230°C/450°F, with warming times up to 2 hours.
  • SLOW COOK Function: Features cooking profiles designed for long cook times at low temperatures. It offers HI and LO settings for convection cooking, with times ranging from 4 to 10 hours, and an automatic KEEP WARM feature for up to 2 hours.
