Assembly
Your generator requires some assembly and is ready for use
after it has been properly serviced with the recommended
fuel and oil.

UnpackGenerater
1. Set the carton on a rigid, fiat surface.
2. Remove everything from carton except generator.
3. Opencarton completely by cutting each corner from
top to bottom.
The generater is supplied with:
. Battery charge cables
° Operator's manual
, Engineoil bottle
Add Engine Oil
1. Place generatoron a levelsurface.
2. Loosen the two maintenancecover screws and remove
the side maintenancecover.

Cleanarea around oil fill and removeyellow oil fill cap.
4. Using oil funnel (optional), slowly pour contents of
provided oil bottle into oil fill openingto the point of
overflowing at oil fill cap.
NOTICE improper treatment of generator could damage it
and shorten its life.
° DONOTattemptto crankor starttheenginebeforeit hasbeen
properlyservicedwiththe recommendedoil.Thiscouldresultin
anenginefailure.
5. Replaceoil fill cap and fully tighten.
6. Replacethe maintenance cover and hand tighten the
two maintenancecover screws.
Add Fuel
Fuel must meet these requirements:
, Clean,fresh, unleadedgasoline.
, A minimum of 87 octane/87 AKI (91 RON). Forhigh
altitude use, see High Altitude.
° Gasolinewith up to 10% ethanol (gasohol) or up to
15% MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether) is acceptable.
NOTICE Avoid generatordamage.
Failureto follow Operator's Manualfor fuel
recommendationsvoids warranty.
o DONOTuseunapprovedgasolinesuchas E85.
- DONOTmixoil in gasoline.
o DONOTmodifyengineto runonalternatefuels,
To protectthe fuel systemfrom gum formation, mix in a fuel
stabilizerwhen addingfuel. SeeStorage.All fuel is notthe
same.if you experiencestarting or performanceproblems after
usingfuel, switch to a differentfuel provideror changebrands.

WHENADDINGFUEL
° Turn generator engineOFFand let it cool at least 2 minutes
before removing fuel cap. Loosen capslowly to relieve pressure
in tank.
° Fill fuel tank outdoors.
° DONOToverfill tank. Allow spacefor fuel expansion.
, if fuel spills, wait until it evaporatesbefore starting engine.
o Keepfuel awayfrom sparks, open flames, pilot lights, heat,and
other ignition sources.
, Checkfuel lines, tank, cap and fittings frequently for cracks or
leaks. Replaceif necessary.
