Battery Type
DO NOT USE ZINC-CARBON BATTERIES. Only replace all four batteries at a time.

MENU > ADVANCED > BATTERY TYPE
Alkaline
Default setting. The batteries that come with your camera will be Alkaline.
Brinno recommendation: Short-term projects in a temperate environment.
NiMH
Most rechargeable batteries are NiMH type. We recommend using Panasonic
Eneloop, Eneloop Pro, and SONY Cycle Energy
Brinno recommendation: Users who are constantly recording short-term projects.
Lithium
Energizer Lithium AA batteries.
Brinno recommendation: Long-term projects where the camera will be recording
consistently for 1+ months. Essential for projects in hot and cold environments.
BATTERY TYPE: Select your battery type in menu settings to optimize
battery life. Misplacing the battery type may cause unexpected changes
to the battery life.
