please see the following sections of the instructions
for use.
2.2 Optimum performance
The On Tap filter is designed for the use with cold tap
water. Please filter cold tap water only.
2.3 Filter first, and then boil
The BRITA On Tap water filter system is designed to
be used only with municipally treated tap water. If an
instruction is received from the authorities that mains
water must be boiled, then BRITA filtered water must
also be boiled. When the instruction to boil water is no
longer in force, please clean the BRITA On Tap water
filter system thoroughly and insert a new cartridge.
For certain groups of people (e.g. those with impaired
immunity and babies), it is generally recommended that
tap water should be boiled; this also applies to filtered
water.
2.4 Exclusion of liability
BRITA cannot accept any liability if one does not follow
the given instructions of use.
3. Conditions for use
3.1 When does the BRITA On Tap filter not work?
The BRITA On Tap filter is not intended to be connected
to a low-pressure water heater; it is an external contact
system and its internal receptacle will not support the
pressure of the supply pipe.
The following characteristics will help you determine
whether your equipment is a low-pressure water heater:
!
A low-pressure water heater is
usually installed immediately next
to the sink or underneath it.
!
Low-pressure taps are fitted with 3
connections (open system).
